Floods 2025 & 2022

FLOODS 2025

In 2025, devastating floods struck both Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) and Punjab: KPK suffered catastrophic flash floods and landslides triggered by cloudbursts, killing over 320 people, mostly in Buner, while sweeping away villages and isolating mountain communities; meanwhile, Punjab endured its worst riverine flooding since 1988, as overflowing rivers and heavy monsoons submerged over 8,000 villages and 1 million acres of farmland, displacing more than 2 million people and affecting around 5 million in total.

TMF in the 2025 floods has reached out to flood affected people of KPK Buner and several districts of Punjab including Narowal, Kasur, Sahiwal, Bahwalnagar, Jhang and Pakpattan.

TMF has disturbed cooked meals and dry rations to over 1000 families. TMF has also provided medicines, live stock food and mosquito nets to those in the flood affected areas and in camps.
